In May 2023, Anthropologie hosted six top-tier fashion influencers for its #ThatSummerFeeling retreat at the iconic Belmond’s Reid’s Palace in Madeira, Portugal.

The multi-day experience celebrated summer dressing and travel lifestyle through curated cultural activities, coastal styling moments, and content creation designed to bring Anthropologie’s seasonal collection to life across digital platforms.

Objective

Strengthen Anthropologie’s positioning as a global lifestyle brand by showcasing its summer collection through aspirational, influencer-led storytelling.

The goal was to drive engagement, awareness, and new customer acquisition by connecting fashion, travel, and culture in a cohesive brand narrative.

The Challenge

The summer fashion landscape is crowded with competing campaigns and influencer collaborations. Anthropologie needed to create a travel experience that transcended traditional influencer partnerships by producing both editorial-level content and authentic cultural connection that would resonate with audiences worldwide.

The Plan

Design a high-touch influencer experience that combined luxury travel, fashion, and local culture to embody the essence of summer.
The campaign was built around three creative pillars:

Owned Channels

Produced real-time coverage across Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok, highlighting influencer styling, travel moments, and cultural excursions.

Coordinated with the brand’s e-commerce and editorial teams to align social storytelling with featured product edits on Anthropologie.com.

Developed a cohesive post-retreat content rollout featuring behind-the-scenes highlights and curated summer styling inspiration.

Earned Channels

Partnered with six top-tier fashion influencers to create both brand-directed and commissioned content.

Amplified influencer posts across their owned channels, driving audience engagement and reach within key global markets.

Encouraged cross-tagging, hashtag usage, and content reposts to extend campaign visibility and organic momentum.

Content + Message Priorities

Aspirational Storytelling: Present Anthropologie as a destination for elevated, globally inspired summer fashion.

Authenticity: Highlight organic influencer experiences that blend fashion and culture without feeling overly commercial.
